Random Thoughts of a Lioness

First Anniversary of Buster's 30th Birthday

So it was Buster's birthday. And yeah, it was also Friday the 13th (which has nothing to do with this post).

As God has planned it, I was on unrecorded leave for the games, and fortunately...our match ended about 1.30 that day. Rushed home to take shower and made some attemp to look nice(r). Buster took half of the day off, and off we were to celebrate his birthday with a movie date with the Autobots and Decepticons @ Berj@ya Tim3s Square. Yeah yeah..I know it wasn't much of a date, but with the Lil One around and basically no ever ready babysitters, catching a movie together is a privilege for us!

Movie ended at six and saw us rushing thru traffic to pick Lil Cub up. Crossed town to get to Mutiara Damansara for dinner with Nomis & Kim. Sad to report though that food at the talked-about-newly-opened T0ny Rom@s was disappointing. The ribs were dry, the potatoes tasted funny and their idea of full ribs were a sad three medium-sized ones. Penat je kena beratur and tunggu giliran. Ingat sedap sangat!

Managed to call all Buster's gang for drinks and cakes for dessert at the pancake place. Biasalah, Buster buat - buat terkejut but I don't think he was THAT surprised they were there, At least he seemed happy. E-von and Kimmy were practising their motherhood skills on Lil Cub so I was relieved of the job for an hour!

The celebration continued the next day with yet another movie (woo hoo!) with NickNice& Film Director. Yup, our tradition of watching Harry Potter together continued. Lil Cub went to school for 2 hours while his parents pretended they were young and free!

Your truly didn't get the man anything for the birthday..since he asked for bling and truthfully, I can't afford it right now. Prolly I should take him to kedai kain to choose materials for his shirts since he complained that his is left with only 10 working shirts *yes, my husband the vain pot*. Can just imagine if I get him another watch, and our friend would go "What?? You got him WHAT?? With your own money?? WHY???!!"

I wish his family was around more for his birthday plans thou..not just a stroll in the park and a rushed dinner. But then again.. that's another post for another day..
